Brian McLaughlin (Drums) grew up in South Florida where he began performing music at the age of twelve. Upon graduating high school, he attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston on a scholarship and graduated with a degree in Professional Music. Specializing in Jazz, he also has a wide variety of experience and training in other genres such as classical, rock and world music. As a full time drummer and percussionist, Brian has performed with such name jazz acts as Joe Lovano, Wynton Marsalis, Nestor Torres, George Garzone, and Hal Crook, among many others, and has toured extensively in the US, Europe and South America.  In addition, Brian’s current projects include Los Angeles based Indie-Pop/Rock Bands, ‘Alex and Sam’ and ‘Gamble House’, as well as jazz/experimental groups, ‘Redwood’, ‘Monolith’ and Ian Tordella Quartet. In 2008, he toured throughout Europe with ‘Epiphany Project’, a World-Folk group based out of New York, and in 2009 was in invited to present his own collective, ‘Something Like Music Quintet’, at the Festival Internacional de la Cultura in Boyaca Colombia, which received high praise and recognition.  Brian currently resides in Los Angeles where he continues to perform regularly with various groups/artists, teaches music, and composes for film and TV shows.
