Carol
DeLeon (Private Singing) has enjoyed a successful career in the recording industry for nearly 20 years. Classically trained as an operatic coloratura soprano, Carol received her Master of Music degree from California State University Northridge in 2010 where she performed her most recent role as Don Ettore in Haydn’s La Canterina as well as Belinda from Dido and Aeneas by Purcell. Her performances abroad include chorus in Suor Angelica by Puccini in Urbania, Italy (2010), public solo appearances in Luxembourg (2009) and a solo recital inAntigua, Guatemala in 2007 endorsed by Mosaico Cultural. A singer of great versatility and creativity Carol also excels in pop and musical theatre vocal technique. She is a member of the up and coming pop-rock band Strangelets recently releasing their debut E.P Summer Forever in August 2011. Carol's holiday CD A Peaceful Evening was independently released in 2004. As an instructor Carol is recognized for bringing out the very best in each of her students. Her method offers great communication and technical skills for performance. She combines acting, movement, solid vocal techniques while developing unwavering self-confidence leading to quick and effective results. |
