 Diana
Gallo (Private Piano) has been
a piano instructor with VPAS since 1997. With a Bachelor of Arts in
Piano from Loyola Marymount University and a Master of Music in Piano
Pedagogy from Cal Sate University, Northridge, her expertise is in the
art of teaching piano. She is currently a member of the Music Teachers'
Association of California, and has been president of the local branch
in Santa Clarita for two years. Instructing all ages and levels, Diana
incorporates rhythm, composition, the basic fundamentals of music,
notes, ear training, and reading music. Her students play in recitals
at least twice a year, and many are entered in state piano
competitions. Diana truly enjoys bringing music into the lives of her
students. "My love of music prompted me to focus on teaching.
Witnessing a student's excitement when they learn something new or
complete a piece, renews my love of teaching at every lesson. By
participating in recitals, the student learns discipline by working
toward a goal, and can feel a great sense of accomplishment!" |
