 Ryan
Young (Private and Group Drum)
became involved with music at a young age. In high school, he began
playing in various bands performing at landmark venues including the
Derby, and the Hollywood Knitting Factory. Ryan has shared the stage
with names as Scott Mayo, Jeff Babko, Lee Thornburg, Street Drum Corps,
John Sawicki (Stomp!), Travis Barker, and many others. In addition to
playing in a college orchestra and touring with LotusFear, Ryan also
worked as the Drumline instructor for Valencia High School. Currently,
Ryan performs in CanUnDrum, a "trash can trio", at venues including
Magic Mountain and the LA County Fair. Influences include Buddy Rich,
Mike Portnoy, Dave Weckl, and Dave Grohl. Aside from teaching, Ryan
works as a music and post-production audio engineer. |
